Experience and Know-How

Cardinal Rubber Company is an industry-leading rubber parts manufacturer and colored EPDM rubber supplier. Founded in 1946, it’s our experience and know-how that enables us to lead the pack. Production takes place in our 80,000 square foot facility, which holds factory, laboratory inspection and office operations in one location to ensure seamless production of high-quality parts. We manufacture quality rubber products using our compression molding, transfer molding, and rubber to metal bonding expertise, combined with exceptional customer service. Our colored EPDM production capabilities break new ground for innovation and efficiency.

Ensuring Customer Satisfaction

First and foremost, we’re a family-owned business, and we treat our customers like family too. We’re owned and operated by the grandchildren of the original founder, Robert Schnee, and we continue his legacy of serving customers with a passion for quality rubber products. Cardinal is a Woman-Owned Business, with Diane Schnee serving as President and Tom Schnee serving as Vice President. Customers work directly with Diane and Tom, who personally oversee each project to ensure complete satisfaction.

Competitive Pricing

One of the benefits of being in business for several decades is the depth of our experience. Because we’ve been exposed to so many scenarios, this allows us to troubleshoot processes quickly. We also continuously invest in our rubber factory operations to ensure we’re maximizing efficiency and productivity. All of this translates to competitive pricing for our customers.

Equipped for Your Needs

We’re experts in colored EPDM, compression molding, transfer molding, autoclave, rubber vulcanizing, rubber to metal bonding, and custom rubber mixing. Three 4.5-inch diameter extruders and a Crowe preformer allow us to manipulate rubber into various shapes. We have over 20 PLC controlled compression presses that can handle molds as large as 48 inches by 48 inches.

We use a Farrel No. 11 Banbury mixer for all rubber mixing needs. We specialize in mixing non-black rubber compounds, and can produce rubber sheets, scored sheets and strips.

We have over 20 years’ experience producing colored EPDM sheets, which our customers then granulate. Recently we invested in a new colored rubber line that contains engineering advancements that squeeze out costs while maintaining strict quality controls. These innovations are designed to offer you the most cost-efficient colored EPDM manufacturing process in the industry.

In our laboratory, we employ a full time chemist with more than 20 years of rubber industry experience. We utilize a lab mixer, mill and press, and we can test rheometers, durometers, tensiles, specific gravities, and elongations of rubber.

Wide Range of Rubber Products

The rubber products we manufacture range from relatively simple, mass-produced pieces like caster wheels, seals and bumpers to more complex and time-consuming products like fuel cell fittings (which we have supplied for U.S. military aircraft since 1950). We also produce colored EPDM in our standard colors, or to match customer-provided color samples.

Right On Time. Right On Spec. With Just the Right Price.

At Cardinal Rubber Company, we do it all from beginning to end, so you can work with just one supplier. We mix, cure, pack and ship custom rubber products with customer needs as our first priority. We make it our mission to deliver right on time, right on spec, and at just the right price.
